A changing list — seasons, moods, what the farmer's market brought us this week. These are the staples. Specials are on the chalkboard inside.

Breads

Slow-fermented, baked dark, made in small numbers from morning to midday.

Country sourdough $9.50

A 36-hour ferment, mostly bread flour with a touch of whole wheat. Crisp crust, open crumb, slightly tart.

House staple
Seeded rye $10.00

Light rye dough rolled in flax, sesame, sunflower, and caraway. Dense, nutty, made for cheese.

Olive oil focaccia $8.00

Pillowy, golden, topped with rosemary and Maldon. Half-sheet — about six generous pieces.

Fri – Sun
Brioche loaf $11.00

Rich, buttery, lightly sweet. The kind of bread you'll regret not buying two of.

Sandwich pan loaf $8.50

A soft, toastable everyday bread. Excellent for grilled cheese, eggs, French toast.

Walnut & honey miche $12.00

A big country loaf laced with toasted walnuts and local wildflower honey.

Morning Pastries

Laminated overnight, baked at six, gone by noon if you're not early.

Brown butter croissant $4.75

81 layers, cultured butter, baked dark for a caramel finish. The thing we're known for.

Daily
Pain au chocolat $5.25

Two batons of Valrhona 70% folded into our croissant dough.

Almond croissant $5.75

Yesterday's croissant, soaked in orange-blossom syrup, filled with almond cream, twice-baked.

Morning bun $4.95

Croissant dough, cinnamon-cardamom sugar, a finish of orange zest. Sticky, fragrant, gone fast.

Kouign-amann $5.50

Caramelized, salty-sweet, crackly on the outside, custardy at the center.

Weekends
Seasonal galette $5.95

A free-form fruit tart on flaky pastry. Right now: rhubarb & rose.

Cakes & Slices

Whole cakes available with two days' notice — slices on the counter while they last.

Rose pistachio layer cake $7.25 / slice

Olive oil sponge, rose-water cream, roasted pistachios. Whole cake $68.

Weekends
Brown butter pound cake $5.50 / slice

A simple loaf, a deep nutty crust, a soft tender crumb. Toasts like a dream.

Olive oil lemon cake $5.95 / slice

Citrusy and moist, finished with a poppy seed glaze.

Chocolate olive oil cake $6.50 / slice

Fudgy, single layer, lightly salted, no frosting. Tastes like the inside of a brownie.

Strawberry honey tart $7.50 / slice

A buttery shortbread crust, honey custard, fresh berries from Migliorelli's.

Summer only
Custom occasion cakes From $85

Birthdays, anniversaries, smaller weddings. A real conversation, not a form. Two weeks' notice please.

The small comforts. Stacked on the counter in glass jars.

Salted chocolate chip $3.95

Brown butter, three chocolates, finished with flaky salt. Crispy edge, soft middle.

Tahini shortbread $3.50

Sandy, nutty, dipped in dark chocolate, dusted with sesame.

Cardamom snickerdoodle $3.75

Soft, chewy, rolled in cardamom sugar. A regular's request that became a regular.

Olive oil biscotti $2.75

Almond, fennel seed, lemon zest. The right thing with strong coffee.

Brown butter blondie $4.50

Dense, caramel-edged, studded with pecans and white chocolate.

Raspberry oat bar $4.25

Brown sugar oat crumble pressed around tart raspberry jam.
